Lots of strange things take place at Roskilde. Some events are held by the audience, but should you at one point feel bored you can be sure that entertainment can be had right round the nearest tent corner.

Peculiar event troupes show up unannounced when you least expect it, and agoras at the camping ground glow from life and unpredicted ideas – funny, weird and thought-provoking. Roskilde Festival never sleeps.

Art is to be enjoyed in the moment

As a collective work of art, colourful art posters decorate all walls at V1´s stand at Cosmopol. Like a colourful patchwork quilt roaring with expressions and leaving a jumble of impressions.

Roskillz results on Cosmopol

“Feel this beat, sense this beat”! While Per Vers is warming up both the mike and the crowd at Cosmopol, four deeply concentrated rappers nod rhythmically to the music from a couch on the stage. This round is their last chance to tune into the beat and browse their inner rhyme dictionary before they get down to business.

From thought to action at Cosmopol

Artists have moved in at Cosmopol and an urban village has sprouted that invites interaction with members of the audience who want to have an impact on their surroundings.

In an interconnected creation, colourful art posters decorate all of the walls by V1’s booth by Cosmopol. Like a colourful patchwork quilt which bellows with expression and leaves a confused mass of impressions.

A bus under the influence

An organisation of former drug abusers hands out water and good advice on the festival site.

Come to the Memorial (”Mindelunden”) on the festival grounds and be surveilled and challenged!

Culmination at Construction

A tank that shoots Danes with plutonium, World Trade Center with planes and several giraffes. Those are some of the results of the building activity of the audience at Construction. The best of them are going to be exhibited at the Festival Site.

Less Trash – More Music

Dancing and singing to the sound of trash. Recycled materials can be used to create art and music.

Love at first explosion

The audience and the art installation ”Explosion Village” have found each other in a hot sommer fling. The possibility to drum, thump and thrash away and cause an explosion has opened people’s hearts.
