until Roskilde Festival 2015 - 27 June to 4 July

Make your guitar unique and festival-ready at GuitarLab!

Has your axe still not recovered completely from last year’s festival or does it simply need some TLC and pimping to be ready for the late summer nights? Then take it along and renew it in the good company of other guitar lovers and skilled hackers

Saturday the 1st of June you have the possibility to improve the life of your guitar. Roskilde Library and FabLab Denmark invite you to an open ‘GuitarLab’ – a workshop, where you can hack your guitar or bass by adjusting, repairing, or altering it for the better. Lots of skilled guitar experts and hack-enthusiasts will be there and ready to help you.

At the workshop you can lean how to build your very own guitar and amplifier from scratch, compete in changing strings on time, and test out examples of hacked instruments and equipment. You can share your knowledge as well as get good advice on how to maintain and fix your guitar.

GuitarLab is just a taste of the many different hacker-spaces you can find at this year’s Roskilde Festival in the MakerSpace in Dream City. Dream City Makerspace is a creative laboratory where only your imagination is the limit to what you can create. In Makerspace, it will be possible to solve the challenge you are grappling with and be inspired to realise the dreams you and your camp might have.

Roskilde Libraries’ ”GuitarLab” is open this Saturday the 1st of june I Roskilde Library between 10.00am-13.30pm. Participation is free and it is not necessary to sign up – simply show up to take part in a cosy guitar-centred day.
