The Roskilde Festival Charity Society is the association behind Roskilde Festival. The Roskilde Festival Charity Society allocates Roskilde Festival’s profit to humanitarian, cultural- and non-profit projects all over the world.

The society receives practically all its funds from the annual Roskilde Festival, so your active participation – whether you participate as audience or as volunteer – contribute to increase the quality of life for many people around the world.

Since 1972, the Roskilde Festival Charity Society has distributed approx. € 23.5 million (2011) to Doctors without Borders, Amnesty International, Support the Victims in Iraq, Save the Children and The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and many more organisations.

Donations causing change
In recent years the Roskilde Festival Charity Society has focused increasingly on donating directly to projects or organisations, which like Roskilde Festival is based on voluntary activity and /or are trying to cause change or move people, e.g. by creating better basis for engagement and active participation.

Many of the donations are an extension of Roskilde Festival's Statement. For instance, Roskilde Festival Charity Society has not only helped people through donations, but also by increasing awareness homelessness, poverty and the conditions for asylum seekers in Scandinavia.

Roskilde Festival Charity Society does not accept applications for donations, but identifies projects and initiatives it wishes to support.

The aim is to support humanitarian and cultural work and initiatives for the benefit of children and young people.

Because the Roskilde Festival Charity Society has tax exemption for the event Roskilde Festival, the profits from the festival can only be used to support projects or initiatives that have been approved or accepted by the Danish tax administration SKAT.
