That lots of trash is a part of the Roskilde Festival is old news. Every year we collect 1800 tonnes of waste throughout the festival. This is a serious environmental hazard and it also costs the festival 6 million Danish kroner to clean up the mess. We can only remove the waste that is above ground. All the waste that has been stamped into the ground through the years stays there and potentially harms future Roskilde Festivals.
It is about time we do something about this.
Together we can recycle our resources, bring down the time and costs for cleaning and waste collection and also reduce the environmental strains that follows when we build, live in and remove Denmark’s second biggest city. All within just one month.
Together we can help Roskilde Festival to a clean and sustainable future.
