Help a homeless
The last three years 3.200 homeless people in Denmark have been able to sleep warm during the winter, and 2.600 have been able to lie on a soft mat when sleeping outside - all because of donations from the Festival guests.
This great tradition created in 2003 will continue at this year´s Festival. You can choose to donate your camping equipment and the Festival will see to, that less fortunate people will receive your Festival gear.
All though the sleeping bags and mats might be dirty after many days camping there is no need for worry, because the Festival will wash and clean the equipment. At every tower and exit you can donate the camping equipment you do not want to bring back home if others can get a use of it.
Donate your canned goods
There is a lot of good food wasted when the Festival is over but this year you can make homeless people in Denmark happy by donating your unopened canned goods.
In the last few years the Festival guests have donated their sleeping bags and sleeping mats in order for to the homeless people of Zealand to keep the warmth when it is cold outside.
Previous the Festival has noticed that many unopened canned goods where lying around at the camping area when the Festival was over. When you leave the festival camping this year you can choose to donate your unopened cans to a homeless.
Roskilde Festival and Kirkens Korshær – a Danish humanitarian organization – collect the unopened cans in order for helping others
The unopened cans can be donated at every tower and exit and at Your Clean Camps mobile dustcarts.
