ALISON KRAUSS & UNION STATION feat. JERRY DOUGLAS (US)
Saturday 07.07.12 - 16:00 - Arena
Having spent over 25 years in the business and won just as many Grammys, bluegrass queen Alison Krauss is a relaxed, unpretentious legend, only in her early 40s.
The North American belle brings really good company. The honoured Dobro guitarist Jerry Douglas helps her conquer the Roskilde stage, and the rustic band Union Station includes Dan Tyminski who did George Clooney's singing voice in O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Alison Krauss' lavish voice makes every song from her lips a true delight. Even if the subjects are typically about heartache and endless sorrow, there is always a twinkle in her eye between the banjo and fiddle sounds.

Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
