BLITZ THE AMBASSADOR (GH)

“It’s not where you’re from; it’s where you’re at,” Chuck D observes on Blitz The Ambassador’s critically acclaimed album Native Sun. This line from the legendary Public Enemy front man frames the transatlantic hip hop by Blitz The Ambassador pretty well.
Samuel Bazawule was raised in Accra, Ghana, but still manages to rap in double pace, matching anybody in his current hometown of New York.
With his faithful backing band The Embassy Ensemble, this musical mastermind delivers hip hop carried on a golden throne of funky brass music and Afrobeat-inspired guitar. The term Afro-American has rarely been more fitting.

Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
