Zach Steinman and Sam Haar only rarely choose the easy way through the labyrinth of electronic dance music.

The Brooklyn duo Blondes weave long, stretched sound patterns, which most of all resemble something from a remote and soothing universe. This is floating mid-tempo techno composed by people apparently more concerned with the seesaw movement of intergalactic space than the rumbling of the dance floor.

Climb aboard with Blondes and imagine yourself dancing slowly through a nebula on the far side of Jupiter.
