CONJUNTO ANGOLA 70 (AO)
Sunday 08.07.12 - 12:00 - Cosmopol
Like many other African countries, Angola has been subject to bitter, regional conflict - among other things the vast number of internal wars strangled the rich, Panafrican musical epoch of the 1970s. A series of veterans are remedying this with Conjunto Angola 70.
Using a golden brown mix of African and Caribbean genres, these masters revive the golden age making you have inner visions of bellbottom pants.
The delirious guitar playing – not least by Teddy N'Singui who, according to many, is the most skilled six-string player in Angola – steps to the foreground when Conjunto Angola 70 takes you back in time on an ecstatic journey.

Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
