DJANGO DJANGO (UK)
Thursday 05.07.12 - 17:30 - Pavilion
The cover of Django Django’s self-titled debut album looks like a digitally manipulated, psychedelic tumbleweed floating through the desert towards the listener. The image describes this sought-after and critically acclaimed band’s music very well.
With a sun-soaked mixture of tribal music, fragmented rhythms, semi-electric rock and laid back psychedelia, the young Scotsmen inhabit a universe that brings back memories of both American and British golden pop. Meanwhile there is an exotic atmosphere – as if Django Django is floating away on exotic Bedouin expeditions in the middle of the prosaic, British surroundings.

Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
