Lip-glossed, glamorous disco pop has been a part of Gossip’s sound for long. Even when the trio had rock guitar and leather jackets on the menu. However, the chart-embrace has not been realised as uncompromisingly as on 2012's A Joyful Noise on which pop seems to have taken over after punk.

In this anorexic age of ours, Gossip has a refreshing, iconic front woman in the monumental Beth Ditto. A wonderful voice and a diva as well, who can seduce the audience and sing her lungs out, so that the queen throne of pop ought to be hers pretty soon.
