JAM CITY (UK)Do robots and androids go to nightclubs sometime in the future? If they do, they might dance, sweat petrol and kiss each other to music reminiscent of Jam City. With the debut album Classical Curves, the young London producer Jack Latham has created a piece of electronic futurism. Filled with zigzagging melody samples, distorted forms and shattered glass. Somewhere inside the shining chrome you find a wreckage of soul, house, techno and pop. But Latham reinvents, mutates and transforms it all as if Gyro Gearloose were let loose behind a mixing console. Get ready to dance as if it were 2099.
