Daydreaming about a gorgeous tropical island is hardly unusual in the windswept Scandinavia.

Korallreven has translated the longing for the azure horizon and the gentle sway of fan palms to electronic, semi-instrumental dream pop.

Marcus Joons was in Samoa when the idea for the project arose. Together with his friend Daniel Tjäder he has long since taken blogs and international music media.

The mission is coconut-scented, tropically yearning songs where your ears are bathed in nostalgic synths, Caribbean rhythms and soothing female voices.

Korallreven is a perfect journey south without double bookings, noisy tourists or disappointing weather forecasts.
