Zimbabwe’s maybe greatest music export right now is charming an international audience with their uplifting songs. Mokoomba, fronted by Mathias Muzaza's lush voice, were raised in the small village of Victoria Falls as a part of the Tonga minority.
Countries such as Zambia, Angolo and South Africa were never that far away, though. Maybe here we find the explanation for their brew of Southern, African traditions, filled to the brim with swaying hips, hand claps and festive brass. With the language and rhythms of their own minority as a starting point, they even add funk, pop and Latin rhythms.
The end result is dance music with universal appeal, almost certain to leave listeners happy and with a nice suntan.

Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
