MONT OLIVER (DK)
Portishead’s performance at Orange Stage in 2011 made Mont Oliver seek a new direction. After the blue session at Roskilde Festival they found a new musical platform.
Hip hop, R&B and trip hop has made its way to the first row. Alternative rock has been casted in a minor role even though the trio’s prior output within this genre has earned them recognition as well.
Mont Oliver creates a both urban and heartbreaking vibe by employing the lead singer’s strong soul vocal, some hip hop beats and plenty of minor key synthesizers.
Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
