The Copenhagen hood Nørrebro is no longer the sole destination for fans of homegrown grime hip hop. The Copenhagen suburb Vangede is also worth namedropping among fans of Danish-language, sharp-tongued rap.

Sleng consists of two high school lads, Aesthetic & Larry, full of attitude. They have embraced the originally British hip hop variety and have already become major players on the scene. YouTube and Facebook have been the right channels to create a solid fanbase.

Sleng’s pared, angular songs are filled with witty blows and clenched fists. Sensitive souls better go in hiding.
