2012 may very well be the year for Spector.
Front man Fred MacPherson is in his early 20s but has already been in several bands. As the lead singer of Spector the equation seems to be solved. And now things are really speeding up.
The suit-clad boys have been called London's answer to The Strokes, but judging from the first singles the five-piece sounds more like a new shoot off the same branch as Roxy Music, Pulp and The Killers.
Spector has the right mix of youthful zest for life, quintessential British weltschmerz and humorous tongue in cheek to go far.
