Berlin's equivalent to Battles, Ter Haar, started out as an instrumental band, which you feel in the musicality and attention to detail in all of the trio’s songs.

The ambition is edgy, complex post-rock that makes you want to dance rather than count time signatures. A difficult balance that Ter Haar achieves on the album Delta where guitarist Philipp Koller makes his debut as a vocalist.

Ter Haar is a treat for both your brain and dancing shoes and proof that challenging music doesn’t need to be without a sense of humor.
