Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hi all!

We’re a couple of girls from Australia absolutely pumped to be going to Roskilde this year! Unfortunately we can’t arrive until the Wednesday morning (I know, we’re gutted to miss the opening festivities, but will both be in other countries in Europe can’t meet up at Roskilde until then).

We’d love to meet some fun loving people so we’re looking for any fellow Roskilders that would have us join their camp a little late. We promise to bring plenty of laughter, fun and party animal behaviour. Both from Australia (also speak German and Swedish between us!) We just have our little tent and our backpacks so if anyone wants to squeeze us in, we’d be stoked! icon_biggrin.gif

From experience, there's not much space left on wednesday even if you're a small camp.
I suggest walking around and look for available spaces. Check for flags that will give away the nationality of the camp. Everyone is friendly and willing to help out. And don't worry about language barriers, most scandinavians are fluent in english.

It's very hard to save a spot from sunday to wednesday as well. All of a sudden you'll find a tent on that small empty space in your camp that you thought was too small for someone to camp on. icon_smile.gif

Yep that's what we thought, totally understandable since we're arriving late. I've read that the clean and silent tend to have a bit of space left but we were hoping to find a space elsewhere. Thanks for your response, we'll just take a walk and hope for the best icon_smile.gif

Click the satellite button and zoom in to find the festival grounds just south of the city.
I believe this picture is taken on wednesday morning, 2012.
The rule of thumb usually is, the further away from the festival grounds, the more space. But for one small tent you might get lucky. icon_smile.gif

Cool thanks, yeah it'll be a pretty tight squeeze by Wednesday judging by the satellite images. Hopefully we'll get lucky but we've already figured that we'll probably have to camp further away. Maybe we'll go to every site and offer up beer in exchange for space! Thanks again icon_smile.gif

You´ll be fine with one smaall tent. And it´s totally ok to ask someone if they can move their tents a little in order to get yours squeezed in. Everybody´s friendly and in a very good mood.

Good idea, beer is as good as gold on the festival. icon_biggrin.gif
