Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

We got a spot in Agora J, which is sort of a silent camp...but how silent do we have to be?

We camped in silent in the past, and it's not that quiet. It's quieter than the 'mainstream' areas closer to the festival site, but that's more down to the location than anything.

Cool...was a bit afraid people expected it to be quiet early...we are not a noisy camp though(no boomblaster, not huge giant parties, no drunken teenagers etc..)...

No, don't worry about that, it's not silent. It is a festival, afterall, it's just more peaceful than other areas.

Prior to this year, volunteers/staff warned people entering J that it was the silent and clean camp, especially those who were wheeling their mobile loudspeakers/etc.
Generally speaking, people played music, but by and large they did not play it extremely loudly (i.e. they play it for themselves or their camp, not for everyone else).
The idea behind Agora J was that festivalgoers could have a spot at a lower tempo, where people who cared more about not throwing their trash everywhere could group together and have a little bit nicer place to sleep.

This year? Thanks to all the closing of the camps, Agora J is louder, dirtier, and more crowded than a few of the Agoras on the West side, and almost all of the Agoras on the East side. It was actually quieter over behind the VanDamme camp.
