Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hi everybody

This year is going to be my first at Roskilde and I'm really looking forward to it!!

I've just checked out the map, but I was wondering about something, how big is it?
When you look at it then the J camp don't look as it is that far away, but when I think about how many visitors Roskilde has, then it can be.

How many people can fit in one space? Fx. how many people for C46?

100-200 people maybe?
Once I walked from the west tower to the east tower, and it took over half an hour, and that is not even the far ends of the area.

So it's pretty big.

Have a look at maps.google.com in satellite mode, maybe this will give you some perspective (they are nice images taken just a few days before the festival during the preparations a few years back).

Everything takes alooot of time..once you've been there for a few days you tend to run on low gears.
Last year we were a gang of 6-7 who were supposed to go from Agora N to the Arena stage..with all toiletbreaks, water drinking, ice cream lines, all over bullshit talking, queue to get orange juice to mix drinks..it took us an hour! If I had gone alone I would have made it in 5-7minutes. icon_smile.gif

It takes aprox 10 minutes to walk from the J Agora to the Arena stage as far as I remember. Done it a lot but never really paid much interest in time...

Getting anywhere on the festival depends entirely on how large a group you're in, how stoned and drunk you are and how much in a hurry you are.

I'd say that getting from J to Orange can be done in 10 minutes with no stops but can also take several hours.

Yeah, I'd say you can get from the most south camp spot to the centre of the festival area within 10~15 min. under normal conditions (not too drunk/stoned and no mud). This including a nr. 1 toilet break and a little wait at the entrance.

Hehe yeah that's exactly the thing! You always get caught up doing something, maybe you see a guy with didgeridoo, or meet someone inviting you to do 'the booggie woogie' and drink snaps! I always count in making a few stops before going to a concert, so I wont be late.. icon_wink.gif
