Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Actually we have build something. Last year DR1 (Danish Television) brought a news item called "Hardcore lejrliv på Roskilde-festival" (hardcore camping life...), where we constructed a piece of art from all our trash.

Moreover, the building theme is explained at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=29300296496.

Thanks for your kind words! icon_smile.gif

icon_eek.gif Oh! no? just saw a little detail in your pics....

Make some strap guides on the speakers! you DON´T want them to slip, it will rip into the woofers!!!
You know the festivalgrounds is a bumpy ride at best! icon_biggrin.gif

The system consists of.

2 speakers on 500 (250 RMS) watts each.
A 880 watts amplifier with 4 channels.
A Laptop with a 250 GB. External HDD & 12V charger.
4 batteries from forklifts. They are on 60 - 110 Ah (X5) each. So about 1800 Ah. Total icon_smile.gif

Yes there were a couple of accidents on the trampoline. Two guys from our camp had broken their food by day 2, and there was a Girl from another camp who also hurt her leg.

Will be exiting to see how many accident we will have this year icon_smile.gif

Please keep in mind not to mix different Ah rated batteries in neither parallel nor serial. Best case scenario is that you seriously reduce battery life, worst case scenario is a massive explosion ... and I'm not talking a tiny "pop" here, I'm talking the equivalent of 10-20 kilos of TNT going of with lead fragments killing or injurying everyone in 10-20 meter radius.

Don't worry. We will only use one batteri at the time icon_biggrin.gif

A fuse between each battery? Might work but my guess is they'll just keep blowing. There's still the lowered capacity though. In parallel the total capacity (in Ah) is equal to the battery with the lowest Ah rating times the number of batteries. So if you parallel a 60 Ah battery with a 30 Ah (or a 60 Ah that is halfway drained) the total capacity for both batteries is 60 Ah (2 x 30 Ah).

What actually happens is that excess capacity in the larger battery just goes directly into producing hydrogen gas in the lowest capacity battery, they bigger the drain on the batteries the more capacity is converted into hydrogen gas. Make a shortcircuit, add a spark or lit cigarette, BOOM!
