Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Deleted user Who are your camp mates at Roskilde Festival? Where will you camp? And what kind of camp is it going to be? Now you and your camp companions can organise your camp on Facebook with our Official Camp Planner.

Roskilde Festival is getting closer and it is time to get the camp logistics in place. With our Official Camp Planner on Facebook you and your friends can organise this year’s camp in an easy and fun way. We have taken last year's version of the tool, added your ideas, and made it even better.

With the Official Camp Planner, you can:
- create a camp with a name, a description and a logo - and then invite all your friends.
share pictures, reminders and discuss how the camp should look like on the wall.
- register your camp for the Camp of the Year competition 2010 and win the honour of being the camp of the year and six festival tickets to Roskilde Festival 2011.
- see other camps at Roskilde Festival, find out where your friends will be staying and discuss everything from equipment to music with other camp enthusiasts.
- share your opinion about the music programme in the feature Band'O'Meter that also gives you insight into what concerts your friends want to see.

Win tickets to Roskilde Festival 2010
Thursday 27 May, there will be a lottery among the established camps for the prize of 3x2 tickets to Roskilde Festival 2010. To qualify, the camp must:
- have a name, a tagline, a logo and a description
- consist of minimum five happy campers

The three winner camps each get two tickets to share.

We hope you'll like it icon_smile.gif

---a note---
We are still doing some minor bug hunting in it, so if you find "odd stuff" or something just seems to explode, please leave a note.

The Join a camp function doesn't work, as a camp admin, I can't see the people who want't join
the Invite people to camp doesn't work, it only sends out invitations to the app

Though this, I love the idea icon_biggrin.gif

Ah give them some credit, if they can hack up a facebook app (which admittedly is debatable at the moment) then I'm sure they can figure out how to use randn() or equivalent.

But let's not get into how that isn't really random anyway.

http://random.org is always useful for making somewhat truly random decisions.

Deleted user Is it fixed yet?! I managed to get one other person in the camp, with much frustration. I still can't invite people to the camp though....

Deleted user I saw the link with "click here to see who wants to join your camp", but only the person that I already got in is showing up... twice. And yes, others have clicked to join.

Deleted user It is "rather" glitchy at the moment, but we are working on getting the damned thing to work icon_smile.gif Facebook doesn't seem to be the easiest dance partner developer-wise. I've taken you comments and passed them on to the developers (along with a list of my own). It should at latest start working probably - aka. you will be able to at least invite people to you camp - friday morning.
Thanks for your patience

Deleted user The Camp application have now been cleaned of bugs and it should now be easier to make a camp and use it as a camp planning tool. Hope you'll enjoy it icon_smile.gif

It took a bit of grunt work, but I think it's there now.

BUT if you still find something too weird to be true, just send us a "hey, what the hell's this?" to camproskilde-festival[dot]dk

Happy campin'

You might want to consider moving the "Camp comment" up above the "Friends without a camp", 'cause when it's all the way down, you don't see it icon_smile.gif

Deleted user I've got 6 people in the camp and it only says "4 people in the camp". I hate this, how am I supposed to win the tickets if it incorrectly displays how many people are in the camp?! Please fix this....

I dislike how all Facebook applications give away all your information to 3rd parties, and then you will be forever spammed. If you ever allowed Facebook access to your email account, they will forever have access to it, even when you change your password!

Also it keeps telling me so and so wants to join, but they are already a part of our camp. It also doesn't like to our actual already existing Facebook Group advertising our camp. That should be fixed as the structure and even the visual/graphic presentation now is awkward.

@Lilla: Actually thinking about doing something like that icon_smile.gif It is a bit in the way and seems to have lost its functionality
@Emilus: What's the name of your camp? I can't seem to spot the problem in other camps (though I am a bit confused why some camps have a "Facebook user" as one of their campers). Though if you DO have 5 or more ppl in your camp, I can guarantee that you are in the competition. First we find a random camp and then we check how many people are in it - by clicking on the camp
@USlander: We have moved the "look who want's to join your camp" so it is now INSIDE the application instead of the application dashboard - which should make this more simple. AND if you uninstall the app, FB doesn't allow us access to your personal info any more, so you shouldn't be overly worried about this. YES, there are probably application developers whose only goal is to harvest emails and such - and therefore takes backups of your name+email data before you uninstall the app - but I assure you that it is not us

Is it possible to confirm both that the camp has been entered into the Camp of the Year competition, and that all the right information is there. I'm a bit worried as the application process was a bit screwy for us.

I am asking on behalf of Camp Eyjafjallajökull.
