Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hey! We are 17 people from Norway and are all arriving on sunday to make our camp ready xD!

But my question is: I just bought a sound system this day that did cost me a deacent amount of money. Do you have any tips on how to protect our boomblaster and speakers from: beer, rain, vomit and other elements typical to Roskilde icon_smile.gif ?

Thanks for all helpfull answersicon_wink.gif See you in 12 days or so!

If you havent designed the stereo to withstand the "elements" make some sort of cover incase it rains!

It will get a bit wet every nigth when the dew falls! Make sure to cover it or have the surface of the stereo waterproof!
Carstereo speakers can take some moist due to the materials they are made from!
Make sure to install the speaker grills! They protect a little against the feared "elements"!

A main fuse mounted on the battey + pole is prefered! you don´t want to short out the battery!

Have a nice one! icon_cool.gif

Well i checked your speaker grills!

Thanks for the tips friend im gonna go look for it tomorrow icon_wink.gif

Im gonna put it in my tent everytime im leaving my camp that should protect it against sneaky thieves and the weather i guess... Just hope the heat inside the tent like i experienced in 2008 wont destroy it.

Btw i have ensurance on it! icon_smile.gif

If you're really worried, just put it in the storage lockers when you head to the festival area, it's free.

Strange. I don't have any desire to go smashing things, and certainly not my "little" boombox when I get drunk.

Was surfing through the Glastonbury site yesterday, and there you won't have any problems with getting you boom-box stolen, wet, puked at or whatever...because:

Personal sound systems
Please don't bring your own sound system - the Festival has music pretty well covered. The campsites are patrolled for rogue systems, which will be confiscated.

They should add the following ..

Also please don't have fun while you are here. We have that covered plenty as well.

Roskilde would be lynched if they came up with fascist rules like that. icon_biggrin.gif

Better not read their rules on alcohol on the camping grounds then. icon_smile.gif

That's sort of what I mean that this is exactly what Roskilde should market themselves with in the UK. Freedom and Friendliness. Nobody in their right mind would go to Glasto if they knew the alternative.

Google "Glastonbury" + "monsoon"
There's another reason.
