Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Is dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) allowed at Roskilde and is it possible to buy it in Roskilde or Copenhagen?

Deleted user We certainly didn't see why there should be a problem with it the year we brought in a bunch. Nobody stopped us either...

As to where to get your hands on it........

And where did you get it?

Deleted user I was hoping my long line of dots would imply my hesitation to answer that question.

Try here.
They have an office in Copenhagen.

Might want to let everyone else here at the forum know what kind of response you got, and some prices.

I found out, that it's possible to buy dry ice at AGA A/S, Vermlandsgade, Copenhagen and I'll do so to cool my beer icon_smile.gif

That certainly depend on how you use the dry ice. The correct way is to dig a regular beer cooler hole and then dump the dry ice in that supercooling the ground in the hole. You then use a cheap sleeping bag as insulator and preferably a wooden plate on top of it all, that should be able to cool your beer for the entire week depending on general temperature, and how often you lift the lid. The more often you lift the lid, the less effective it is naturally.

Hmmm, thanks for the link to the... legitimate alternative. I'll also look into this if we've got spare cash.

Why do you need dry ice out there. They sell cheap COLD beers and when you buy a bottle of booze it comes with a 1,5l soda and a bag of ice.

The don't sell the kind of booze I like at all. I only drink Havanna Club, nothing else. And we need something to cool the ultimate festival drink, kalimotxo, down with anyways. That's why you need dry ice.

"Freezer packs
At the luggage storage at Agora E and L you can buy or exchange freezer packs. A (frozen) freezer pack costs 20 DKK, and exchange is free of charge. [to the top]"

I don't know if this is new or not, but I don't remember it from last year icon_razz.gif

I love it how the beer vaporizes instantaniously as it touches the tongue!
Oh how I love the taste of foam icon_wink.gif

Thats why a bong is way more efficient, makes it go down way faster;

That's fascinating.

See following thread on ridiculous toxicity claims: http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/uk/forum/mm_forum_pi1/posts/off_topics/ban_dihydrogen_monoxide/

Point of information: Alcohol is neurotoxic.

Deleted user I appreciate the enlightenment, but I realize it's a joke.
My point was that anything can be seen as toxic to a certain degree. Dry ice isn't exactly on the top of my list for things to watch out for at festival.
