Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

It's been a couple of years since I visited Roskilde last time, so I don't really remember when we got to Roskilde to stand in the queue last time. I read that the gates open 29/6 18:00, what would be a good time to arrive this year to stand in the queue? (if you want a good spot of course). Also, how long should I expect to have to stand in the queue? icon_wink.gif

Friday for a really good spot. Sometime during Saturday it is just a decent spot.

Also for me it has been a while... Did they change the entrance time over the last years? As I recall, they ran down the fences (at East) way before the official opening time!
We arrive saturday noon and have to fetch our wristbands at West. Hope, the fence will still stand after we walked all around back to East...?!icon_rolleyes.gif

That was just stupid freaking too-young-to-go-alone people that thought ruining the festival experience for a lot of people was a good idea.

Check this link if you are unsure of ho it works now (and imo should always have worked since stupidos starting on the fence thingy a few years ago): http://roskilde-festival.dk/ticket/entrance_booking/

They changed the opening from Sunday morning 08:00 to Saturday afternoon 18:00 a few years ago to avoid the gates getting run over (can't remember if this change has been very successful).

Also the wristband exchange is different now. You get a temporarily wristband (which they can hand out pretty fast without having to scan and verify your ticket, just a visual check of the ticket and you can go through). You do the exchange of your ticket for the permanent wristband later on at your own convenience (before Tuesday I believe)

Well, if you come early saturday morning, before the first festival train arrive, I think you'll still have a pretty good spot. Friday evening is almost empty and most people are getting in line saturday before 12pm.

Fuck its hard to work now. GIVE ME FRIDAY!!!! banghead.gif

PS. Ofcourse it depends on which entrance you've got!
