Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hello guys.

I am from a camp of friends who are a little less organized than the big camps, with their own huge mobile stereos.
I would like to know if anyone can give me advice on where and how to get the "second best" option, a good solid ghetto blaster.

-We have a budget around 1000kr.
-We would like a stereo with a long battery life (no lcd display and preferably working with just cassette or radio/cassette)
-We have an Ipod and it is essential that it can be hooked up.

Any advice or links to guides would be great!

If you know a tiny bit about soldering you can build an amp6basic from www.41hz.com as the one described in the "Build you own festival stereo"-thread.

If you don't know anything about soldering or know your skill is limited then you could buy this: http://www.hllyelectronics.com/html/fm_transmitter_1_97.html

Then buy something like this: http://www.thansen.dk/product.asp?c=2865660908&n=1200267971&pn=1227393613

And a standard size car battery of 55Ah, that should last something like 100 hours at maximum volume, and cost you less than DKK1000 all included.

@Saturnus

I was wondering, could I have your email?
Between this years and next festival, I'm planning on building a new soundsystem into the Coffin Blaster.
I have rad the threads as well as I can, but there are some things I don't understand.
Was wondering if I could have it and email you fore some basic questions when the time comes?
You seem like a nice guy to have when it comes to this icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the answer, I think I will stay with the simple solution. Thansen.dk is not working right now, but I should be able to figure it out.

You guys are great!
