  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

My first year at Roskilde 2007, had lots of places that sold ice...When no one needed it because of the rain and now they don't seem to sell it anymore. But I am bringing a lot of Vodka with me and I need ice! I have to drink my Vodka Cold! So where can i get liek a bucket of Ice? I think I will need one per day as the ice packs are not going to cut it and I will not be able to dig a hole for dry ice or a home made ice box for the festival. Please let me know what you know or think I can or might do.

Yeah, I've often been cursing that you can't buy bags of ice at gas stations, supermarkets etc., like you can abroad. However, McDonald's usually will let you buy a bag of ice, provided they have enough for their own customers. Maybe some official Roskilde person will read this thread and suggest to the proper person in charge that ice should be available for purchase at the agoras.

Somehow I don't see ice in the agoras go hand in hand with the green footsteps.

You don't need ice. A big bucket filled with water and canned beer is all you need.

you can get ice when you by a boltle of booze and soda...

And the juice or soda you by is pretty cold.. That should make up for the warm vodka..

Cold vodka is just to much to ask for in my oppinion...

You can buy coolerpacks for 10 dkr at every agora, and get them re-frozen for free. Also the supermarked sells ice. They just ran out of it last year.

That's strange. The energy to freeze the water comes mostly from coal-powered powerplants in Denmark (strangely, the cheaper, safer and cleaner nuclear power is banned). However, coal power emits large amounts of carbon dioxide which is the main building block of plants. Therefore emission of carbon dioxide leads to a greener planet.

I looked for Ice in the supermarket last summer and did not see any. Are you sure the Roskilde camp supermarket(s) sells ice? Did you actually see it there and how much was it? I need my Vodka and red Bull drinks to be cold or else I cannot drik them and those little frezzer packs will not do it. So I need ice and nothing but ice. The McDonalds is not close to the festival and I would prefer not to drag a bucket of Ice all the way there if I can help it. Only 15 days till I am in Europe and Denmark! I cannot wait!

I bought ice at the supermarked last year. So yes. The icepacks are fine. Just buy ten and put them in a bucked with water and change them, when they stop cooling. The Mc. Donalds is very close to the site by the way, when the festival area opens, you can get there by crossing the festival area and going over the freeway.

The only 2 McDonalds I know of to exist in Roskilde are marked on this map. Do they open a temporary one somewhere else during the Festival I just don't know off? The 2 on the map aren't exactly "very close" in my opinion.

Ice is awesome when it's hot. However, "hot" isn't exactly the first adjective that springs to my mind when i say "Summer in Denmark" =)

But I agree in full. They should put one of those green footsteps bikes up at each agora. The more action (power saved) the more ice-cubes in your bucket.

Yes a ROCK festival, not an ICE festival. Rockstars drink there beers piss-warm. Seriousley, if ice is a big problem for you, you might want to stay home. You can probably buy ice, if they don't run out and you can FOR SURE buy ice-packs in every agora, wich you can excange for a frozen one, for free, when ever needed. Chill!

Its nice to have ice, but if you are a hardcore festival person you must be able to drink your boze warm. If you cant stand the primitive lifestyle you can go to a disco instead.
