Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hey.

I can now tell you all, that the G area is getting bigger. We are opening some of the area that was use by the gravel pit for some years ago, it is opened now for camping.

Jesper (head of public camping at Roskilde Festival)

Well sorry, Jesper but as long you don't have an "Official RF person" in your name tag, i don't take what you are saying, as an official RF statement, I still await an "Official RF person" to make that statement. icon_confused.gif

And now you are at it, can't you arrange a 3 days concert with Metallica, in the gravel pit ? see that could be super cool icon_redface.gif

This year? Is this not shown on the map?

(as predicted by Mr. Monster in the gavel pit thread?)

The Blue and Yellow area is also gone icon_frown.gif

And you are correct about the purple area...

B. didn't post the correct image ... here's the right one. I think the Festival would do well on the final map release to get it correct, and not to mark the refilled (but still unusuable area) in the same colour as the gravel pit ... send a positive signal by marking it light green or something like that.

http://iloapp.aeblehaven71.dk/data/_gallery/public/1/1241077537_resized.jpg

Well, that would depend on whether that area (the yellow box) is open for public use, to hang out there etc., or not. This would indeed be great, because allthough we would'nt be able to camp there, it would shorten the walk to the stages a lot for a lot of people...and look good on the map icon_smile.gif

Well, it (the yellow area) will not be open under circumstances but they could just colour it light green, and then show fence lines like other similar places on the map.

Are you guessing the yelow area will be open for camping next year?

I'm guessing 2011. The area that apperantly is available this year was filled at least two years ago.

Why only the two gates into the festival site from East? Won't that just make it much more congested around those two points, especially on Thursday? Sometimes you have to wait for abit anyway, which is annoying when you're late for a band.

Yes, at least open entrance 9 as well. Entrance 9 leads directly to Orange stage preventing a bottleneck situation in the Pavillion area?

Maybe they're making both entrances larger, and will one more exit in the middle.

I guess that's a possibility. They could always use the middle as an entrance just for the Thursday when it first opens too. It won't be the same without the several coloured entrance numbers in a row. Even though you can't see them very well from distance anymore as they built a wall of dirt in the quarry.

They have to make 10 bigger as I believe it's smaller entrance than 9 and 7. But yeah, open up 9 as well.

Along with the rows of lights, those illuminated numbers are a classic Roskilde view for me.

Mm, it sure is nice...I lived just south of the gravel-pit last year, front row, and had that view...but regarding opening entrance 9, I think it tended to be quiet crowded at the small passage between the festival site and the gravel-pit, when coming from concerts with big acts - escpecially thinking of after the Radiohead gig...

Arh, so no one then icon_smile.gif

But what about the back areas, it was pretty handy last year, that stuff like the volunteer lounge was on the map, and some other places, will it come on the map later or?

Jesper: Any firm ideas on how the gravel pit will continue to grow in future years, or will this be the final growth? Is it definitely moving to West?

Where above did an official Roskilde person confirm the future growth plans for the gravel pit and talk about it moving West?

I can tell that the Gravel pit Company has plans to go the the west side next year. It will problaly mean that the C area will be gone....? But you can never tell and we can never plan about the gravel pit. they do what they want and when they want it.
But they are starting to fill up the area now on the north east side of area G.

We are still calm about the gravel pit, it's gonna be some hard years but then we have a perfect camping area icon_wink.gif

I honestly dont know, but i think it will.
The "back" area is smaller this year because some of the buildings are made public areas.
