Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Where above did an official Roskilde person confirm the future growth plans for the gravel pit and talk about it moving West?

I can tell that the Gravel pit Company has plans to go the the west side next year. It will problaly mean that the C area will be gone....? But you can never tell and we can never plan about the gravel pit. they do what they want and when they want it.
But they are starting to fill up the area now on the north east side of area G.

We are still calm about the gravel pit, it's gonna be some hard years but then we have a perfect camping area icon_wink.gif

Oh, balls. C can`t be gone! It`s the best of the west! icon_frown.gif

Expect West to disappear entirely within 5-6 years.

That would suck bigtime. I love the concept of having two areas. It make the whole festival seem like a little world on it`s own icon_smile.gif
Plus it`s where I "grew up".

It might appear again in some smaller form but I think that after the West side gravel pit has been refilled they will dedicate what's left to worker camp, get a tent, caravans, sleeping buses and just parking.

It's because both A (worker camp north of the freeway) and B will be used for the coming freeway expansion junction. C will be dug up, and as always, generally only 3/4ths of what is dug can be reused.

That wouldn't leave much space on West, so they might decide to put a more permanent train stop on the East side instead, and just ditch the bridge entirely. It would make perfect sense to do so.

why on earth did you remove the big area around P and Q? that was a huge area for those who couldn't make it in time. People are gonna live up each others asses?

Already mentioned that P is held in reserve.

You're probably right. I don't know when they are going to start building the freeway expansion, but if they are going to dig up C next year we C`ers have to move anyway. To E, perhaps.
What I hope is that they expand the M camp, right up behind Arena. But, of course, when they fill up the gravel pit in 2010 there's gonna be a bigger area than C, anyway.

I am horrible when it comes to map reading, but is area C in the same place as it was last year in WEST? We are thinking of camping where we were before in front of the windmill that was in West in C, but I am not sure if it is still in the same place anymore? Can someone help me please?

Do anyone know why P (the big circle) is gone? - I camped there last year, and it was not completely filled up, but there where a lot of people though..

Deleted user Hey everyone,

An updated map is now online (look under the menu item 'practical'). You should especially notice how camping area G har expanded a bit to the east.

Thanks. I see the hot showers in J/H are now also corrected on the map. Last year the showers where at H when they where drawn near J on the map.

Anyone notice any other differences, no matter how small?

Not that it matters to that many people, but F has gotten a few more "squares" on the new map compared to the old.

Deleted user The red line outlining the bounderies of the camping area has been removed, a smaller path going south from G has been removed, all cold shower signs (except one at C) have been removed, and the gravelpit has changed shape which has given way to the above mentioned expanded camping areas at G. A green line has been added around E and a it is now called "Climate Community".

Where has the cold showers gone?

In addition, I'd like to know why - year after year - the map shows the cash dispenser inside the festival ground on a wrong location? On the 2008 map it was shown to be located east of Gate 9 (not shown on this years map) when it fact it was located west of Gate 10. I'm sure it's been wrong before and you'll find that the cash dispenser is located west of Gate 10 instead of east of it, though it's less of a search as Gate 9 has been closed.

Why have gates 8 and 9 been closed? Won't it be a problem to control the crowds of people passing through only three gates in and out of the festival ground? May it even cause bottlenecks?

I'll feel exceptionally bad for the Get-a-tent people if it rains heavily. I rembember that area midway during '07. There was a car freaking 2/3rds submerged in water. (which I, at the time, found pretty amusing).

Submerged cars /=/ ideal camping spot.
