  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hi,

Is anyone else upset that the location has changed? We chose GAC just because this year it was somewhat part of camping EAST and not some isolated lot somewhere behind the road!

RF staff mentioned in the news that everyone who purchased such a ticket has been informed.. well not us. I would like to know, for example, if there is a possibility for refund etc.

Frustrating to have payed for something we aren't getting.

I highly doubt that a refund is possible.. As far As i know, it's only when the event is cancelled that is possible.. And Lets face it, Its Not the festival's responsibillity to see grass But Roskilde kommune, and therefore Them Who decides when the festival Can use Said area icon_smile.gif

I haven't recieved any notice either.
Also, I'm a bit confused about what they mean about "original location". Does this mean that the GAT-camp will be somewhat similar to previous years?

I got this from RF: And yes its complete shit place. The original place might be the far of south one, which was even worse.

Get A Tent Downtown og Get A Camp flytter plads

Vi er desværre blevet nødsaget til at ændre placeringen for årets Get A Tent Downtown og Get A Camp.

Ønsker du at beholde din Get A Tent pakke, skal du ikke foretage dig noget.

Vi beklager ændringen, men håber på din forståelse. Vi glæder os til at se dig til sommer.

Mvh. Roskilde Festival

English version:

GET A TENT DOWNTOWN AND GET A CAMP CHANGE LOCATION

Unfortunately we have to change the location for this year’s Get A Tent Downtown and Get A Camp. Because of a very long and cold winter, the grass has been sown later than expected. Unfortunately this means that the grass won’t be ready for eight days of festival and fun.

We have found another area which is also really nice. The new area is located north of Street City in area A and is also located close to the festival space (see map). We are well aware of the fact that it mentally can feel different and we truly are sorry that we have to move because we know that many of you chose to buy Get A Tent Downtown and Get A Camp because of the location.
Both bath and toilet facilities will remain the same as at the original area.

Your Get A Tent or Get A Camp package will naturally be valid in the new area but if you don’t want to use it because of the other location, it is possible to get a refund. If you want to get a refund you can send an email to: kundeservicebilletlugen[dot]dk or call +45 70263267.

If you want to keep your Get A Tent package you don’t have to do anything at all.

We are truly sorry for the change but hope to get your understanding. We are looking forward to see you this summer.

Best regards

Note that area A where it's moving to is usually worker camping. Also note that area F is gone from the official map. I suspect that the move has meant also moving worker camping to area F which I'm sure a lot of workers will have more than a little mixed emotion about (to say it mildly).

The internal map I looked at with area coordinator never had F on it. And yes area where it have move to was a works area, bur only a small part of it, the most of where the sleep is vest of C.
So unless someone really know that it have chance something for the workers no need to start rumors icon_smile.gif

Workers camp have moved South of Vor Frue. There will be shuttle buses every 67th minutes of every hour but only until June 37th.

Good enough? icon_razz.gif

Thanks for the info zoon_67

Refund might not be an option for us so we just have to cry ourselves to sleep at our new far, far away refugee camp. Or move our 12 person tent the hell out of there when we arrive sunday morning...

Well, the only positive thing is that after 7 years of attending RF, I'll finally experience camping West.

The question that remains is what services are at the new GAT downtown? Are there showers, luggage depots etc at the actual GAT location or on the other side of the road at west?

Technically it's not even in West as it's on the other side of the free way. North it probably the correct term.

Services are the same.

True.. North is more describing.

The thing about the services is that i don't really know what "same as before" means as this is our first GAT visit. I understood that in the original 2013 setup (pre moving North) the showers, kiosk etc were somewhere near GAT downtown, but not actually inside the area.

How has it been in previous years?

We are taking the bus from Oslo Saturday morning the 29., and it stops at east entrance at 3 pm. On GAT info here, it says we should use a west entrance, and just go to the GAT area when we want. Previous years, this was no problem, as we came by car and parked behind the GAT area.

Now we only have our feet and our stash and need to get from entrance east to west outside the festival area before it opens. Does anyone know if that is very hard, or if it's easy to walk round?

I've been looking at a map over Roskilde - google map - and I imagine Darupvej to be closed since it's inside the festival area, is there a pavement or some smaller road close to the motorway that we can use?

Would we have to go by the west entrance if we manage to get to the GAT area first?

Jump on the shuttle bus and hitch a ride to entrance West.

Hope this helps icon_smile.gif

Thanks Steen, it doesn't clearly say that the bus goes between east and west. But maybe going to Roskilde town and then to west by bus is just as easy/hard as walking.

We'll see in 2 days and a few hours. icon_smile.gif
