Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hi all,

I've been at Roskilde festival two times in a row, but i've never camped inside the actual festival area.

This year me and some boys are going to camp there, but im kinda confused about all this "Get a Place" and "Get a camp"??

We have our own tents, but we would like one of those white pavilions that you see everywhere, and then have our own little camp. How do we get that, and how big an area can you occupy without any reservation?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Peter,

have a look here http://roskilde-festival.dk/forum/mm_forum_pi1/posts/camping/camping_area_characteristics/

if you get there early, find yourself a spot in C/G/L , those areas are great for parties.

I'm sure you will have fun no matter where you camp as long as you are social with the people around you.

And yes you can bring 1 (max) pavillon for 1 camp .

Okay so we dont have to reserve a camp/place to get a pavilion? We just bring one ourselfs and smack it up near our tents??

There are no reservations for the regular campsite where you bring your own tents and such. So when the gates open at 6 pm saturday you run in and secure and area with a tarp or whatever you might have. Then you pitch your tents, assemble your pavilion, crack open a beer and enjoy yourself the next week.
I believe it's one pavilion for every 10 people in the camp by the way.

Rule of thumb: One 3x3 m communal area (ie. no tents) per 20 people in a camp. Link: Camp Codex

Of course this is based on some calculation on the total square footage of the camping site and the maximum number of guests.

Psst.. bring a tipi instead icon_smile.gif
