Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Does anyone know when the parking spaces will open?

And furthermore; When parked, is there any restrictions regarding use, or will my car be available for use during the festival?

(this goes for the free parking spaces, as I recon the payed ones may have other restrictions)

The last few years the parking spaces outside entrance East has opened earlier and earlier. Some year not until midnight towards sunday, and last year it was open when we arrived saturday at around 15.00.
Your car is available whenever you might need it, no restrictions in driving in and out.

Thank you for the reply.
Last year we arrived saturday apprx 21.00, would should and could have been there much earlier, but various info regarding parking made us wait in Roskilde town for several hours before driving up to Dyrskuepladsen.
No problem though, just sitting for hours at pubs by the pedestrian street, relaxing, and watching all the nice people all heading for heaven, well that was a great way to get into the ORANGE MODUS... icon_biggrin.gif

Can anyone tell more about the "Paid parking" that has been introduced this year.

It cost 300 DKK. But how does it work, and what will it include?

Oh damn, had not seen this info until right now.
And that's the area we usually use.
This year we're not bringing a car, but that's going to be an irritation to many I guess.
Don't think it comes with more priviliges than the short distance to the entrance at East.

It would be nice to get som information comcerning the "paid parking" from the Roskilde Festival officials...

-When will we be able to park in front of the main entrance in East?

-The 300 kr paid, does that include security of any sort, will the parking area be monitored by Roskilde Festival Staff?

-Is it included in the price that you can "come and go" as you like during the festival period?

Those are EXACTLY the questions I had in mind.

It'd be nice to know if you can get the parking tickets via email. I think they won't get here in the netherlands before saturday, if they send them via snail-mail.

(Oh, and i've looked in the 'info' section, but it isn't there, as far as i can tell)

You just follow the link. Billetlugen has some tickets you can print your self and some you can't. Read the info on Billetlugens site.

Well then cross your fingers and hope they won't sell out. They will sell unsold parking tickets at the site.

Hey, I think, I'm crazy now......What fucking bullshit is it ? 10 Years ago we always parked at the same place. Now Roskilde Tickets costs 250 Euro and 40 for parking when you want to park near the camping area east? Bad bad bad....Is this the the Roskilde Spirit ? I can only laughing, but true it's very very sad...! It's now a two - class - company or what ? No Agora "P" !!! Pay for parking near the eastside !!! Maybe the next yera we must pay for using dixie....I will hope, that this all is big misunderstood, surely, when the situation is real now when we arrive, defintly my last RF ! And not only my last. We're 20 people. But this facts are not in banghead.gif icon_evil.gif banghead.gif banghead.gif banghead.gif our minds.....

Perspective my friend. icon_biggrin.gif

The paid parking is really just meant for people that will use their car a lot during the festival. If you don't there's absolutely no reason not to park in the regular free parking as usual.

@saturnus and masterblaster: Maybe it's ok, when the paid parking area is only "reserved" for guest who want to use the car between the days, but real is, when you take a look at the last "official" map, that the parking area which were free the last 10 years is declared for paid parking right from entrance eats, will costs 40 Euro. When you enlarge the map, you can see, that there is a soooooooooooo little hint under the "parking" in east, but that's not ok: http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/fileadmin/user_upload/documents/kort_2009-uk.pdf.

But, shit happens: I'm in good dispositions, I'm so glad, that saturday is the kick-off for me and my friends, but I'worried about that not enough space for camping (the lovely agora "p" doesn't work and now, money for parking) is'nt there. Only I make my angry breeze (a german proverb - free translated).

I hope we all togther have a nice festival like all the years before - sorry, I'm sure that we have it -, but I'm not sure if all the varitions are good for th feeling. But: Let us see how is the different against the last years, maybe all will be good !

I'm only worried about some discussions here in the last weeks, because it's the first year with so many critics......

I want to drive to roskilde the rest of my live, how long the body transport me, but this year there to many discussions....

Hear my song "Roskilde Rulez": http://www.myspace.com/lospotatoseinsemble, Sorry, when my squeeze out isn't well, but I#m so nervous in front of the start, drink much wine in the afternoon, and all the different news every day make my crazy...

Love You. Nice Festival icon_smile.gif))
