Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

We took a Gypsy taxi last year and it wasn't too expensive because there were 10 of us, but keep something in mind. Negotiate a price you think is somewhat fare, or let them give you a number. Keep confirming that the price they gave you is to the camping area, after they say yes, then reduce the price even more. The reason is that they will not take you all the way to the camping area itself. Because they are an illegal taxi service, they do not wish to go all the way to the camping area where Roskilde officials and/or police might be. You can knock at least 100 DKR off the final price because of this. It's a way to get it even cheaper, but I usually walk to WEST as it takes like 30 minutes if you have some wheels on your bags, otherwise it's a little bit longer.

Don't support the gypsies in any way, whether it being illigal taxi driving or refund collecting.

When i arrived last year i had no ideal who were Gypsy taxis and who wasn't. To be honest i think they were ALL gypsy taxis.

I just ended up walking over to east, stopping at the vikinge gryden on the way for the biggest burger i have ever seen in my life! Worth a stop!

It's quite simple.
In Denmark taxidrivers never get out of their cars, to pick up costumors. The real taxis also have at taxi-sign on the roof, and the drivers wear uniforms, with the company logo sewed onto it.

Fucking hell, it's no fair reminding me of the delicacy that is one of their burgers with bacon and cheese. One of the best parts of Roskilde Festival, as far as I'm concerned.

I just enjoy the fact that I live only about a 10 minute walk from Vikingegryden ;D Great, giant, burgers, all year 'round!

Haha, it's such an awesome place - although if i lived only 10 minutes away i'd probably be dead by now. Death by burger!
