Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

So, there's 20 of us. We haven't been to Roskilde but are dying to finally go. We're hoping to bring two RVs and four to five tents. I've read the info here and there are a few issues I can't get clear on:
- only one tent per caravan in the caravan area, right? then there's the "get a place & caravan" area marked on the map...can we have more tents in that area? our own or only rentals?
- how does one reserve space in the caravan and get a place areas?
- no info at all on pricing for space/plots on the site so far. what did parking for a caravan cost last year? how much was a rental tent in the get a place area last year?

And then, more broadly, what advice would all of you have for me? What mistakes might be nice to avoid? icon_wink.gif

Maybe I can help you plan for Burning Man later in the summer?

Thanks,

I don't know anything about the specifics of the caravan and GaT camping as I've never stayed in any of the areas. I do know however that it's possible to buy both kinds of add-ons to your ticket from the 1st of March. Found here: http://roskilde-festival.dk/ticket/add_on/

Also you want to arrive as early as possible to experience it all.

The get af place area is located next to the caravan area if you can´t fit them in but i saw several tents around the caravans last year, not just one.

I've stayed in the caravan area for the last two years so I'll try to answer... I'm a bit uncertain about prices for get a tent and get a place...

The Get a Tent, Get a Place and Caravan three different areas (however close to each other) but don't mix them up.
You can have one caravan + a small tent (4 prs) in the caravan area.

You reserve by buying a ticket which starts on March 1st. You pay 365 DKK per caravan. Get a place is quite expensive as I remember (ticket + aprox 2500 kr). I believe Get a Tent is much cheaper (ticket + approx 7-800 kr) and the people sleeping there can just go visit the caravan area.

I think you are mixing up get a place and get a tent.

Get-A-Tent is an area with a whole lot of small orange tents setup by the festival crammed together and you get one of them (and you can keep it). GAT is placed next to caravan.

Get a place, is located a little closer to the stages (or was last year at least) and you basically get an area of grass and you can set up your own tent etc. It more expensive but the idea is you can show up late and still be close to everything.

Remember the caravan is not hooked up to any power or drain or whatever. But toilets and showers are close by.
