Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

This Atomic bomb band celebrating William Onyeabor sounds really nice. I'm looking forward to that already! I saw the performance in tv just last night (on Jimmy Fallon), and it's so fun to wake up and seeing it announced for Roskilde. Good job!

Hugo Mendez will propably be quite able to keep the old feet moving on Arena sunday night between Jupiter and Ibido. What a crazy african night party it looks like!

I've listened a lot to William Onyeabor's music so this is a great addition for me, a must-see.
Obviously seeing the man himself would be better but now that he has giving up music, or whatever it is, this is the next best thing.

Oh yes! This Atomic Bomb-thingy is another must-see for me too. Hope that David Byrne will be there, but either way, a great booking!!

This is an interesting watch regarding William Onyeabor:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiaRp0M2fxE

He basically did what Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder where doing in the late 70's and early 80's, but independently from a small village in Nigeria.

Alright I couldn't really wait, so I watched it now. What a weird story. It would be really interesting to hear a bit more from William than just that last audio recording.
I'm still buzzing from this announcement.

Atomic Bomb performing songs by William Onyeabor gonna be great. The groove/dance party that was lacking in the line-up.

Now only wishing some three-chord punk/hardcore. Then the line-up would be perfect!

As for the party part there´s the Arena´s closing show, which is going to be epic this year. We also have Systema Solar, La Chiva Gantiva, Dengue Dengue Dengue! and Chromeo on other days.

And yes we´re lacking a good hardcore/punk band. I´d get the Splits. icon_wink.gif

Edit : Forgot about Slöa Knivar in the warm-up, thatś a good punk band. But wouldn´t hurt to get one in the actual music days as well.

I'm so psyched about the Arena party. Hopefully many people will show up. Spread the word people! It will be so amazing with Jupiter and Ibibido (and the dj guy).

You'll also find me at Chiva Gantiva, Systemar Solar and Chromeo. Maybe we'll bump into each other. I'm the drunk guy dancing icon_wink.gif

Luckily I called dibs first icon_smile.gif

About Atomic Bomb band: Can we start dreaming that maybe Damon Albarn is one of the special guests, since he's played a big part of the project (one of the founders of it)? That would be awesome. Chill concert with Albarn solo first maybe, and then crazy dance nightparty with him and Atomic Bomb afterwards.

I reeeeeaaallllyyyyy want it to be David Byrne but Id bet that its Damon, which would still be awesome.

I missed this show here in SF and was really bummed about it and then literally the next morning it was added to Roskilde. FATE!

The William Onyeabor Facebook page just posted this:

Hurra! William Onyeabor's Atomic Bomb! is headed to one of Europe'e biggest festivals to play Roskilde Festival in Denmark!! Special guests Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Blood Orange, Luke Jenner and Kelela - and some very special guest surprises - will be joining the great Atomic Bomb Band! of Sinkane, Money Mark and Pat Mahoney (apparently our show is "the weekend's most anticipated booking after The Rolling Stones!). Mr. Onyeabor himself actually spent some time in the country in the early 80s, and even shot the cover for his record "Hypertension" at the famous Tivoli park in central Copenhagen. Here he is a decade later, coaching the legendary Danish football team of 1992 to the European Championship in Sweden, where they beat Germany 2-0 in a stunning final. Go Willly, go!

"I hope that English guy will come again!" Possible David Byrne clue?

It's by far the one I look most forward to. Won't miss it for anything else.
