Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Headliner should be :
arctic monkeys
kasabian
outcast
trentemoller
damon albarn

perhaps : major lazer

Given the hype about Major Lazar, I would expext him to headline, but in that case I hope that Kasabian don't headline, since we otherwise only would have two headliners left.

The 5 known headliners so far are Arctic Monkeys, Trentemøller, Major Lazer, Outkast and Damon Albarn.

Kasabian is a subliner.

Personally <i think that Rikke Öxner plays it very safe. If the stones are to be booked this would be a very lame and boring orange stage line up.Have they done anything interesting in 39 years? Prince was a cool booking, kraftwerk a funny one, metallica a good one but the rolling stones 2014? I know its only rock&roll but I DON't like it. What's next? Sir Paul Macartney
The feeling I get about this line up is not an orange one!banghead.gif

Not to mention that the orange tent (old edition) is their touring tent from 1976 (afai recall)

How could it not be a perfect booking for orange if the rumours hold true?

EDIT: Oh, and I've been attending their concerts (both in DK and US) quite a few times now, and can very much confirm that they in fact are the greatest live/stadium act of all time, and that is without me being a huge fan of them.

Kasabian can't be a headliner. Also think Major Lazer is a very weak headliner if they stay there.
Rolling Stones would of course be fantastic. Also something heavy like Black Sabbath. And I do think that the bookers search for some female headliners. But I can't find many touring. Maybe Lily Allen.
Adele would be a scoop but i guess she isn't touring.

I´m pretty sure they were announced as such but here is some reasons

Outkast and Arctic Monkeys, no question there

Damon Albarn, special spotify playlist only for him

Major Lazer, the competition on facebook.

Trentemøller, he headlined the last time and there normally is a Danish headliner.

Didn't Trentemøller only headline last time because of his enormous one-off thursday party gig at Orange? That was my impression.. With his solo-album-tour-stuff I can not imagine him headlining again..

I'm still not really sure about Damon Albarn. For me it really depends on how many Blur and Gorillaz songs he's going to play.
I think Major Lazer was announced to play Orange in the same way Chase & Status were last year, i.e. not as a headliner.
I obviously could be utterly wrong.

I pretty much agree with your headliners so far. Though I would love if Aleg-One could be right about Trentemøller and TMaagaard about Major Lazer icon_razz.gif That would mean more headliners coming, but considering the rumours about The Rolling Stones I'm afraid they/we have to do with -weak- headliners as well, as mentionned. But fingers crossed icon_wink.gif

I don't think MariA says she doesn't believe Rolling Stones will show up. As I understand it she's merely saying that if they come they will have taken a huge chunk of the budget meaning the rest of the headliners will have to be cheaper, which I guess rougly equates to weak headliners.

But of course we've gone from ~200 artists to ~160 so that obviously means something in terms of budgeting as well.

You understood my message correctly TMaagaard icon_smile.gif
I had forgotten the fact with less bands this year which is also to take into consideration as you said.
About the Rolling Stones, I feel a bit sorry for the bookers of Roskilde if the rumour happen to be true, because then their big surprise for us was revealed before the poster release icon_wink.gif

Hi,

I checked from Roskilde's Twitter page and this is what they said week before Trentemøller was announced:
Music announcements next week. We start off with the 'middle layer' and LOTS of diversity. Headliners at a later point

And week when Trentemøller was announced they also replied to one message:
No headliners this week, sorry

So referring to that Trentemøller is not headlining.

If Trentemøller isn't headlining, could Psyched Up Janis be the danish headliner? I mean, they were pretty important at Roskilde in the 90s where they played several years in a row and were considered the Roskilde house band.

When Psyched Up Janis was announced, they were in smaller letters than Trentemøller in that Roskilde's frontpage picture.

If I remember correctly only three names where on bigger letters at that point and they were Arctic Monkeys, Major Lazer and Trentemøller.
