Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Wow its hard to find 7 Orange name slots in that announcement.

According to Rikke Ø we should atleast keep 2 slots for later announcements but that leaves us with 5 bands in that release.

Ingrid is one of them
Airbourne?
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Turbonegro
Probably Crystal Castles with a night time slot
1rd additional
2nd additional

Opening act Marie Key, Kvelertak, Karpe Diem??????

Or can we hope for a 3rd, 4th, 5th orange band out of the last 15 icon_smile.gif just kidding

Or is Kendrick Lamaar Orange material.

That was my problem with the posterrelease, besides not having any headliners, it didn't seem to have any obvious bands for Orange stage at all (I haven't heard about Ingrid before).

But two years ago they announced four bands for Orange stage after the posterrelease: Portishead, Ravonettes, My Chemical Romance and Kaizers Orkestra (although Ravnettes at Orange seemed ike a big mistake and Kaizers Orkestra seemeingly was a replacement for Rob Zombie).

So maybe there are still something left.

Hope Of Monsters and Men would play a daytime slot on Orange. Happy hippie afternoon.

Ingrid are Lykke Li, Peter Björn and John, Miike Snow and others.

Miike Snow headlined Smukfest a few years ago and would probably also play Orange on their own (but not headlining)

Maybe we will see 1 new headliners and 2 or 3 big subheaders.

Couldn't Ingrid be the opening act? A scandinavian goodi-bag of talent with guests. Would be an exiting new way of opening the stage without comprosing the traditions too much. That's my bet.

I really don't hope Kendrick is going orange, and I'm pretty sure they will put the rock names you're listing before him.

Ingrid would indeed be an awesome and worthy Orange opener.

That´s actually a damn good idea. The only problem is that if they´re lacking bands on Orange stage, they might save that one for later.

Sad but true. Hopefully they are cutting concerts on orange + having something good in the last 15 names. I think I would find myself at the opening act for the first time in many years if it was this Ingrid-project.

I kinda like those daytime Orange shows, where you can sit on the grass far from stage just watching the people go by and listening to music maybe not that familiar to you. From my experience rock bands seem to suit this setting perfectly. If you´re a fan then it´s of course a different situation.

In that case, you can add Ingrid as well, RF has also announced that she/they will play at Orange.

But turbonegro? Why are they on Orange with less than 100K FB likes, that does not seem right.

They have played the Orange stage before in '05 aswell as filled the Arena tent quite convincingly in '03. They have a massive following among Norwegians aswell as some of the most dedicated fans ever abroad. Don't know how it is though after Hank von Helvete's exit (they lost their lead singer not too long ago).

If there is to be a Thursday night show, the best guess would definately be Ingrid. The last few times there has been a show Thursday night have been with special-made shows (Trentemøller and Apparatjik) and with a Scandinavian based act, and yeah... It just sorta fits, doesn't it? I am hoping for it, at least icon_lol.gif

Regarding James Blake, Rikke Øxner has said in an interview (I think it was Soundvenue) that they seriously considered putting him on Orange

Regarding Saturday, wouldn't it be more likely for Sigur Ros to play Arena?

18:00 Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
21:30 The National
01:00 Rihanna with Sigur Ros playing Arena at the same time

Sigur Ros has already played Arena twice. Maybe they are too big for that again.

You might have a point. It would be a shame if The National didn't get to play in the dark though

Surely hope Sigur Ros will play Orange at nighttime. I still think Of Monsters and Men could play a daytime saturday show on Orange. Specially if we´re not to have a rock-band every day there in daytime...

If you guys are right, I'll be visiting Orange twice this year. That's a new low for me, even though I regard this the best line-up in a decade.
