Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Much have been said about the quality of this years line-up.
I am in the peculiar situation that I would like to see 3 bands all playing the first slot of the regular festival schedule.
So I would like your help - what should I choose? All arguments are welcome possible and impossible! icon_lol.gif

Voted for Django Django, although I´ll probably miss them for Argentinian tango myself.

Start off with Django Django and then go see most of The Shins as they´re playing half an hour later.

Last year I remember Graveyard, Janelle Monae and Battles clashing on Sunday. Ended up seeing Battles, which was very good indeed. But for that I´m very happy to see Ms Monae making a comeback.

The logical solution is to catch the start of Django Django, see if they're any good. If they suck, move on to one of the other concerts. I'm taking Django Django and Kellermensch. The Shins will probably be an utter borefest. Great band, but they haven't got that many great songs imho. The ones they do have are amazing though.

You'll also have a hard time making it over from Odeon to Arena because you have to get around Orange, where Kellermensch is playing at the same time – unless of course you're privileged with a special wristband that enables you to shortcut it through the media village behind Orange Stage.

EDIT: Sorry, I completely missed that Django Django isn't playing at Odeon, but on Pavilion instead.

I had the same clash, but after seing this thread I youtubed both bands, and now Kellermensch seemed the obvious choice. For a moment I considered Kraftclub as well.

Can i join in with a question icon_biggrin.gif

Mew or Paul Kalkbrenner Friday night?

I did see Mew back in 2009 and I actually cried during Comforting Sounds but yet again Mew is a danish band so I'm guessing that I can see them again.

On the other side I don't think that Kalkbrenner will come to Denmark again for a while so this is probably my change to see him.

Why not leave it up to your mood at the time? I bet both are going to be great experiences, but no point in choosing Kalkbrenner if your'r feeling a bit worn out and more in the mood for just standing and quietly enjoying Mew. icon_smile.gif

I hope I'm up for a crazy Kalkbrenner-party but I'm not sure I have the stamina. icon_smile.gif

If you're still festival hungry, you could catch Paul Kalkbrenner later on at Berlin Festival along with other Roskilde names: http://www.berlinfestival.de/lineup-2012/

The Mew show, however, is probably unique for Roskilde, like Trentemøller's in 2009.

Saturday night. Mew and Paul Kalkbrenner are both playing Saturday, not Friday.

I'm guessing that many of the EDM followers will be at Arena at the same time so that is probably the reason why Pretty Lights only performs at Apollo.

And Apollo is not that small, it has the same size as Cosmopol and Odeon.
