Quick guide for the search
- Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
- Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
- Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

How could i not have seen this thread before? :S Actually took a long time away from this Forum and that was when many of the posts here were posted but still. Lots of great music at least from first listening, gonna take me some time to check all these bands out hehe But i want to join in and throw some bands out there: The vintage Caravan - want to start with one band from my homeland of Iceland. Saw these guys first live 3 years ago when i think they were around the age of 16 or somewhere there around., now they have one album out thats pretty good in my opinion but this really is a live band, really tight and have always got me going live. They are getting bigger and bigger in Iceland. http://vimeo.com/40724272 - Live concert they did a few weeks ago (Boring presenter at the start). http://www.ruv.is/sarpurinn/kastljos/07052012/the-vintage-caravan-flytur-lag - Played on a tv show in Iceland last night. Starts around 26:20 The Flying Eyes - Sometimes a very Jim Morrison like vocals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2hkBtKAa0Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAaxqyPMZtw&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrYY-IA9jQ0&feature=related Kadavar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFWj6eD5NQ4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prahqr9ICZc&feature=related Lo Pan - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ButynXPrgCI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXYtgwe7LvI&feature=related Juggernaught - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGLFvbTlQok&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3szVMjVftBE&feature=relmfu Turbowolf - Warm up band for Pulled Apart By Horses in Copenhagen in February, unfortunately I missed it, want to see those guys so badly. These guys should be heard by everybody, I'm really loving them right now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-VOUQ1EL9c http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPn8yb0l5sg&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGuqqaPtKGA&feature=relmfu Purson - Should have played Heavy Days in Doom Town the other day which i unfortunately also missed but they had to cancel but said they'll come later to Copenhagen, I'm so gonna be there when that happens. Maybe not quite like most of the music you have been posting but I'm still gonna let it come along. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw0605Ah9uA http://soundcloud.com/purson-1 That's it for now, I'll be back later with more, awesome thread by the way. That band Stubb sounds quite alright. There is so much great rock music and music in general out there if one just bothers to search. I know way to many who cant be bothered with it and than complain that music today sucks (cause they only follow mainstream :S ) You might have heard these guys but I'm still gonna post them. A little bit of Dan Auerbach, just because he is fucking brilliant. His guitar playing on this song is near the great Peter Green's sound IMO, and that is definitely not at bad thing! Roskilde should get him and/or his band to Roskilde soon! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JPAW1A_gKM&feature=related [This article was edited 1 times, at last 08.05.2012 at 17:37.] |

I found this, which is pretty effing nice too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM-9OzFUZFU then tubing along I then found Dirty Sweet for whom I will make a new post (they deserve it) |

Dirty Sweet If you thought Rival Sons will be the first to brake out from this generation, you might have to rethink. This band is WOW! Classic Rock, Led Zeppelin, Wolfmother- you name it! Instant favorites when I heard them. The guy can really sing and the sound is taiiiight! (They are doing festivals during Roskilde BTW, there is even an open day) Check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jlh2sxylCYw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQCbpr17iIg&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtQMjInGtpA&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMNxcJpPgpM&feature=related If you like rock, you are going to love this. Dallas Frasca![]() You guys just have to check out this gem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO3b4w5lBPs She has received a lot of attention from this song, and have now released her second album. I haven't heard it yet (but it is downloading as we speak). If the rest of the album can live up to this song I think we are seeing a star in the making. Great rough voice, fitted for this kind of music and seems to have the personality to match. Some of her earlier stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NStL4e5zY-M&feature=related live http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BycWR6V8iq8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTQQbrjlc54&feature=related [This article was edited 4 times, at last 10.05.2012 at 17:44.] |

And this train has already left the station, but wont make a stop at Roskilde. It stops at Werchter and Hurricane though and there might be available dates for Roskilde on the 6th and 8th. I've put them on my band guess list for this very reason, because although hope is slim what are we without it? Black Box Revelation Totally 100% awesome rock n roll. I'll let the music speak for itself. To be played loud. No, I said LOUD! But: Can you say early Oasis? White Stripes? Kick ass music? If you can say yes, say Black Box Revelation! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZzknLiIFho&feature=relmfu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYFL4l73lwc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBA2vBFgCgc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPeEvqXjgyw&feature=relmfu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5llv4aKUnY&feature=relmfu This is exactly the kind of band that should play Roskilde before they get huge: Ergo 2012! Quite a revelation indeed this band A little extra bonus for you guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1enimn3YS-c&feature=relmfu [This article was edited 6 times, at last 11.05.2012 at 16:21.] |
