Hey, guys!
We're a group from Norway who usually have taken the ferry from Oslo to Copenhagen to get to RF, but this year we will be getting there by car. I see that there is an option to buy a spot in one of the three non-free parking areas.
So my question is if anyone knows if the free parking areas get crowded/full very fast? We don't mind walking a bit, but we don't want to use excess time finding a spot to park our car.
And while we're at it, is there any fencing or security at the paid parking ares?

Old thread, but as no one has replied i'm bringing it up again.
I was also wondering about how the parking works. Can we arrive and park at the festival parking at friday 28th? And will there be some kind of security at the paid parking areas?

I don't think it's possible to park before Saturday morning (the day the camping areas open). Both the paid and free parking areas are patrolled by volunteer parking guards who, apart from the basic running around and guiding people to free spots also keep an eye out for vandals and thieves for example.
I don't think they assume any responsibility for your car or your belongings in it however. The parking fee is only to get spots that are much closer to the festival site than the free zones.

Yes. The parking open on Saturday morning. Opening it Friday would make no sense as that would basically just encourage people to sleep in their car which is illegal.

Goes to show that us old rats should also read the info. Would've never guessed that it would already open Friday.
