Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hello all.

A long time ago there was a thread in which it was revealed that each stage had a mascot, Orange stages being a small rubber duck. Rammu seemed to have some information about it, which could be nice to hear as my girlfriend asked me this year what Arena's mascot was, and I could'nt remember icon_redface.gif

Cant find the thread in here no more.

Hoping for replies, if you know anything.

Good times (where did he go by the way)

This doesn't answer your question, but it's relevant to the topic...

Didn't the Arena crew steal the Duck a couple of years ago?

Yeah, they've stolen it a couple of years - at least one of the years, they painted it green.

Also, I believe (but not sure, and I've never actually seen it) that the Arena mascot is a swan.

And Cosmopol's mascot is - or used to be - a fish. Didn't notice it this year.

Last year, really - right now it's safe at home. And it was someone from the Pavilion team who ducknapped it in 2009, although he only returned it a few weeks before the festival. icon_smile.gif

Hi, sorry about the delay - after the festival I travelled to Norway to recharge my batteries, and I couldn't be bothered to check on the forum before now icon_smile.gif

At Arena we do not have a Stage Mascot. As far as I know, only Orange Stage have a mascot. Their construction leader is called Anders, and he is called Anden (The Duck). I that's how they got a duck as their mascot.

Actually it was a prominent member of our tent-crew who stole it and painted it green. The Orange crew were quite upset about this, and they had to settle the matter over 8 crates of beer as I remember.

Rumor has it that a member of the Arena stage construction team "borrowed" the duck one year after the festival and travelled the world with it, taking photos of the duck in all sorts of places. During the year, photos kept being sent to the festival, and as the next year's Festival was only a week away, the duck was mailed to the Festival unscathed.
