Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hi!

Due to a late minute decision this year, I had to book my plane tickets home from CPH at 0820 in the morning on monday the 8 july.

I should therefore be at the airport sometime during the night... I have seen that the ttrains stop running at 1600 at sunday 7 july, do they have any night time service to Copenhagem, and it it easy getting a train to the airport in the middle of the night? I really want to catch the Kraftwerk concert!

I appreciate any help!

We will be staying in the west camp btw, so the night bus to Copenhagen City Centre is not so practical.

The last train only going to Roskilde Station is departing at 16:00.

Going home
Copenhagen Central Station
Trains will run directly from Entrance Platform to Copenhagen Central Station stopping at Roskilde Station and Høje Taastrup Station. First departure will be Sunday July 7 at 09:07 with further departures twice an hour until Monday July 8 at 02:16.

Take the night bus from entrance east directly to central station in Copenhagen. There are no stops along the way and cost DKK80. From there take the normal train to the airport.

They run every 30 minutes on regular nights during the music days, and they double the amount of buses on Sundays.

I think you missed the point by not wanting to take the bus from East.

I didn't. It's still the easiest way.

Easier than a direct train that only stops in Roskilde and Høje Taastrup on the way to Copenhagen?

Unless the show is longer than 3 hours then yes, the last train departs at 02:16

02:16 only gives you about an hour to pick up your stuff and beat the probably massive queues there. It's not going to happen.

Kraftwerk will start at 23:00. You cannot make a 3D show when the Sun hasn't even set yet, and at least 45 minutes to an hour after. The Sun sets at 22:00.

So let's say the show starts at 23:00, runs for 2h 15m approximately. That gives you an hour as noted above.

I would not consider that a realistic option.

Thanks for the replys!

Looks like I can take the shuttlebus from west camp to east camp and then the nightbus from east camp, or take the train which leaves at 0216. Either way I'll get to catch all the concerts I want and still have reasonable time to reach Kastrup.

Have a great frestival!

Ahhh you are so practical icon_biggrin.gif

But what if they packed their things and stored it at the luggage at Agora C, then they could "just" pick up their things and head for the train.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand if they miss the train they could walk to entrance east (long walk, I know) and take the bus from there instead

Edit: The first comment was for Saturnus.

I'll not keep flogging a dead horse but have you seen the queues to pick up luggage from the storage lockers Sunday evening/night?

Either way. They'll get there one way or another.

Sorry, no.

Usually we get someone (usually my mom) to pick us up early in the day and then after a nap and a hot shower we regroup and return to the festival site by train, without having to worrying about how to get home with luggage and all that.

But it helps to live only 25 kilometres from Roskilde.

Lovely!

Thanks for all your help. Looks like my plan of partying parts of the night at Roskilde and be home in time for breakfast in Norway is realistic after all.

But do you get "morgenbrød" in Norway?

No, I'll just have to make my own "morgenbrød"...

Thinking back to Roskilde will probably help.

You are usually very well informed, but I think you are way off here. Kraftwerk will of course start at 22.00 when that's in the program. The sun sets at 21.54 in Roskilde that day. It won't be dark for an other hour, but that's not required. You get some 3D glasses and then some screens will be the 3D display.

They will do a 2,5 hour show and end at 00.30
