Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

It all depends on how the opening will be planned this year. If they do it like the last couple of years, it will be early. The people who come sunday afternoon has nothing to loose but lots to gain by knocking down the fence. So 14.00 could be!

But I think they will change it a lot this year. Otherwise they would have told us about the opening by now. I'm not sure why, but I think this year part of the plan is to keep the audience in the dark untill maybe a few weeks before the festival. They need some paln to avoid people showing up Saturday.

Well, last year fence jumpers got fined 3500 DKK, so that is something to loose...

They got a 500 kr. fine in the end, (if they had a ticket). THat is not much of a loss, if you spilt it between a big camp.

I was only wondering because in 2008 and 2009 the fences were broken on a saturday around 18 pm. For me and my friend arriving from Holland we will probably just arrive on a saturday. Just to be sure. In 2008 and 2009 there wasnt this waiting area thing so maybe that's a difference that will prevent the fences from going down.

And my guess is that its going to happen again. No problem for egocentric me who will come early again this time but sad for those who'll choose to arrive sunday.

I don't understand why Roskilde decides to ditch the waiting areas that has been working a couple of years now! Its been great and even if the crowd got in like 30 minutes early last year it will be better than 12 hours, as i predict it end out this year.

And another guess. The fence will go down at west this year. Only one waiting area that will be to crowded, already sunday morning. East will ge the information and the rest we know...

I think, or am worried the fences will come down again as well. I know I have not been in awhile, but it just seems like the thing that will happen. Especially with the Rolling Stones playing.

I can't wait to be back at Roskilde!

They havn't ditched the waiting area?

The waiting area will open saterday 16.00, so the fence defenately won't go down before that. My guess is still 14.00. There will be lots of people showing up sunday morning, and then the people showing up sunday at noon has nothing to loose by knocking down the fence.

My bad! They haven't ditched the waiting area but the waiting area will be ditched at 4 p.m when they are going to transfer x thousands of drunk Roskilde people from one line to another. I can't see how this will work just 2 hours before the campsite officially opens.

Worst scenario is that it will be a lot of pushing and chaos and that you will loose both your friends and your luggage even if you've been in line since saturday night. Drunk people in climax just 2 hours before the best week of the year will start are possibly not the easiest to organize.

Would be great to hear from any of the officialls who actually came up with this stupid or brilliant idea. Im just not sure about it. icon_rolleyes.gif

The wating area will open 16.00 saterday. The campsite will open 18.00 sunday? There is no transfering of lines. I don't think there will be more than a few waiting before saterday at 16.00.

icon_evil.gif I'll blame my otherwise trustworthy friend for telling me this. Or myself for writing before reading. Well, then I see no bigger problem, but the fence will still go down before 6 pm and I actually don't understand why they drop last couple of years system.

It will be a huge party, waiting to get in or for the fences to go down. People will be waiting starting Saturday for sure.

Yes that is mental...I mean one night is fine under a tarp or whatever. But 3 days? Then you're sick already before the festival starts.. And a bit more weakened to get a spot.

Most of the people in my camp is arriving saturday around 15:00 methinks. To get a good place in the line or be ready if the fences go down. Either way I'm pretty sure it won't be sunday 18:00. Only one entrance at west and people will be crowding up QUICK.
