Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

So far theres just ONE headliner named Rihanna - sadly but true. The bands you guys are referring to are not headliners but third row. A Metal headliner would be Iron Maiden or Metallica, a second row would be Slayer, Anthrax or Megadeath. Rumors say Bowie will be next announced headliner at Roskilde 13, but as far theres just ONE headliner named Rihanna *sigh*

Geez dude, what the fuck? So the mighty Download Festival which has Slipknot as a headliner is not a headliner?! Sorry to say but you are living in the past. Of course Maiden and Metallica are headliners. But you need to move on. These bands are over 30 years old. If you would have those names to be the only headliners the metal-scene would die in just a few years. Be realistic goddamnit?

But these bands are still making good music. I want AC/DC for someday and i want to have Metallica back to Roskilde. They played there last time 10 years ago

Of course they do (well, okay, you can always discuss about Metallica in this case, but thats a whole other story) - as well as Slipknot, Volbeat and QOTSA are making good music

It's not really weird, so far there have been booked four bands which will be headliners, and both Slipknot and Queens of stoneage are headliners at every festival they play this year (Slipknot was also headliner last time they played at RF) and yet you deny, that they will be headliners at RF.

Rihanna is probably a larger headliner than those bands, but she is still just one of the headliners and she is not the first pop headliner in the history of Roskilde (PetShot boys, Prince and Mia has been headliners in the last four years) and if anything the bookings so far are havier than usual.

At te facebook page every thread is littered with posts about how horrible the booking is and that RF has soldout and become a pop festival, it is tiresome reading and complet rubbish. And besides that she has gotten more far more likes than any artist in the history of the festival so the booking can't be that bad.

Sorry if the tone was a little harsh, but when you set out to ignite a discussion on a objectively wrong basis, expect some flak. If every other festival in Roskilde's class say that a headliner is a headliner, they're a headliner. One's personal opinion about Slipknot or QOTSA is of no consequence at all when discussing what is and what is not a headliner. Only the popularity of the specific band or artist matters. The crowd they can pull. And we're just telling you that you might want to get your perception of that single parameter adjusted.

QOTSA might not be the Ramones (great post in the history-thread btw.!), but they can surely populate the space in front of the Orange stage. Slipknot possibly even more so. Both have played there 2-3 times.

Not gonna get myself involved in this one, just think that John Ashoule maybe haven´t grasped the concept of Roskilde. icon_smile.gif But PRINCE IS NOT A POP ARTIST, he´s an amazing funk artist with some pop songs.

This is what he usually does : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISZacjyerqc
