  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I've been reading a lot of assumptions that Justice, for instance is impossible due to the fact that they're booked to northside, a festival that i just recently discovered existed (i'm a swede).

But if we look at northsides lineup you can see that they have booked Malk De Koijn. Therefore we can assume that danish bands are an exception.

Therefore:

Justice, The Hives and Marina & the Diamonds = Not possible bookings.

The Asteroids galaxy tour = Still possible.

I love The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. Is their new album any good?

Danish concerts at Roskilde with established acts will always be very special. I think it's rare that established danish artists play Roskilde without any specific significance or purporse.
Malk De Koijn 2009 - The comebackshow
Mew 2009 - P3 Guld nominated that concerts as Best Live Experience that year
Trentemøller 2009 - A single show made for Roskilde
Volbeat 2009 - kinda opening Orange. Don't say Pettter did that..
Den Sorte Skole 2010 - Special show as anniversary for the 40th festival
When Saints Go Machine 2010 - Opening Orange Stage
Nephew 2010 - Trying to outdo their last concert in 2007 which got recorded for a DVD and apparently was pretty legendary.
CV Jørgensen 2010 - Back from a long break
Dizzy Mizz Lizzy - Tim Christensen has stated many times that that concert was the aboslute highlight of their reunion.
LOC 2011 - Legendary concert. He has a special bond with Orange. Something about playing it 5 years in a row.
Veto 2011 - Opening Orange.

Just saying that if Roskilde books a established danish name it's often associated with an experience you can't get any other place. Of course the concerts at Roskilde is better than a lot of other places but if they wanted to book the safe danish artists they would be called Skanderborg or Grøn Koncert..

and the thing with non-danish major acts. Northside probably made sure in the contract with Justice, that they got them exclusively.

The thing is that big international artists won't be shared due to the fact that some people buy tickets just to see Justice, Bruce Springsteen, etc. Obviously, this means that Northside get a lot of people to buy tickets just because they have Justice on their poster. If Roskilde Festival were to book Justice as well Northside would probably lose a lot of customers, because Roskilde Festival is the bigger festival.

Danish acts won't really pull customers in the same way because people have several opportunities to catch them each year.

Yeah, that's what i thought. It's the same in Sweden. But are the Asteroids Galaxy Tour to "big" to still be booked or not?

I'd say they're a possibility still.

I wouldn't exclude any Danish acts from being a possibility at any Danish festival this year, except if it's specifically stated (eg. Mew at Roskilde will be Mew's only Danish festival this summer).

So Asteroids Galaxy Tour is definitely possible. That however doesn't mean I'd expect to see them in the last 15. There's only 15 acts remaining and at most a few of those will be Danish, and there's plenty of possible Danish bands to book.
