Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Come on Roskilde, we really need these guys, and they have a new album coming up .. icon_biggrin.gif

nice to see more people who are joining my mission xD

You are not alone my friend. Me and some of my friends just want Airbourne to Roskilde, that would make a perfect festival for us. icon_cool.gif

You can actually listen to one of the new Airbourne tracks in the Madden NFL 10 trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYOywIfYdm8

Include me on the mission!

I haven´t even heard them, but since they are heavily compared to AC/DC, I´d like to join your mission too.

Probably not that likely, but Tracy Chapman would make my girlfriend very happy, and I wouldn´t mind either. BB King would also be great, but I couldn´t care less about Korn og Bloodhound Gang.

And Chris Cornhole shouldn´t be honored with a booking by RF, after that pile of steaming crap he´s just released!

It's not a bad album, but it's not what one would expect. That's what I think is the biggest problem. As a R&B album it's actually much better than the average

I´m sorry, I think it´s incredibly weak, even for an R&B album (what I´ve heard, 2 songs and snippets). I prefer Erykah Badu, Solomon Burke or even Alicia Keys over that tripe.

Once again agreed. His voice doesn't fit the genre nor the productions, and the songs are mediocre at best. Overall, incredibly weak, even for it's genre.

Dropkick Murphys - has a gig in New York 30th of June and are on europe tour starting the 8th of July... Couldn't that as well be the 5th? icon_wink.gif
Powersolo - Has a big break from the 8th of june to the 30th of July and lives in Denmark
Sportfreunde stiller - As an advertisement for their new Unplugged cd... They are just below the border anyway. icon_razz.gif
The Hives - PLaying some gigs in Norway and Sweden, but none in Denmark? Please?
Pixies - They are claiming they are touring in 2009, but only has one date up? Roskilde the next one?
N*E*R*D - Touring a bit during the summer... In Europe... only three gigs though (Yet)
A Few Bids... Comments please

Jeez! Are you paying any attention? I wrote some damn big names and the first comment after that is "Hey, WHat about electric wizard?"

I am sorry, WHAT? The Hives, Pixies, Dropkick Murphys, they are some kickass names. That is huge names, and if they are added to the poster, just any of those three, people without a ticket could go nuts.
Electric wizard... I don't think the ticket office would be to busy after that? You are talking for the minorities (Your self, red.) and not looking at what could be good for the greater good.
Sorry for that... Ya just insulted me. icon_razz.gif

N*E*R*D are playing in tivoli this summer, cant remember when but it could very well rule them out as an option for Roskilde.

The Pixies dont really update their site and myspace, but they are playing Hurricane/Southside in Germany on June 20. and 21. They are also playing Where the action is in Stockholm and Isle of Wight in the Uk (mid-June).

Dont think we'll get anymore bands of this size - both headlined '04 - this year though.

then let me add, that was a very weird post since its freedom of speech, you dont have to like a band because it will sell tickets or is a big name.

N*E*R*D is playing in denmark in Tivoli dont know the date.

Pixies are playing a gig in sweden, but i dont see them possible since theres already alot of headliners

Dropkick Murphys cant even be bothered checking it out.

The Hives not my favourite but i would love to see them live! hope they come.

i have no clue, but as you said yourself they are not a band that would sell alot of tickets, that would make them not that big, so i guess not icon_lol.gif

Yeah, thats right, but what was my problem was my big names did not get noticed but some little act called Electric Wizards got commented on the spot

Okay. Neither the Hives or Dropkick Murphys could be more than Subliners, and Powersolo would be a small act, but i see your point. Pixies and N*E*R*D, out of the picture.

Ray Davies (The Kinks) is maybe a interesting line up for Roskilde. He plays a norwegian festival (4 july) and according to this website,
http://www.kindakinks.net/news-rumors.php) more european dates are added soon. Roskilde have no legend from this era of rockmusic on the bill this year and and reviews of his shows tells that he's in excellent shape

You can't be serious... Both BMTH, BDM and ABR are incredibly derivative, boring and not at all "NEW"! Modern metal is Mastodon, Isis, Pelican, Baroness, Kylesa and so on... Not all that deathcore/screamo crap.

That would be an awesome sunday concert. An obvious booking to me.

They could, or rather should, also get some of the following from Bukta festival:

Mark Olson & Gary Louris (from Jayhawks)
The Sadies (one of the best livebands i've ever seen)
Fu Manchu
Roky Erickson (yes, again)
Moneybrother

I really wanna see Fu Manchu live.

And may I add: Bukta is a really fine festival. It is so small, but they still book bands like Danko Jones, Motörhead and Eagles of Death Metal. Yeah.
