Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Read the name of the thread and understand I did not say Panda-rock from Norway icon_biggrin.gif

You who hate this genre, look elsewhere, but bands like Mayhem and Satyricon (well more blackened metal maybe) have played at Roskilde before.

Some new (and old) bands that are quite possible to book, which I hope get booked are:

BURZUM (NORWAY) - yeah you know this guy don't you? Just out of prison, new album in April.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPyOhP1GTRQ

SHINING (SWEDEN - not the norwegian death-jazzband which is cool to)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmMbfWLzNFI

PESTE NOIRE (FRANCE)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLSUQYzqXZ0

LIFELOVER (SWEDEN)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXj4aF0xmPY

DRUDKH (UKRAINE)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb8r3O2dvDQ

KRALLICE (USA)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WnbcLaWzXw

Deleted user I enjoy my fair share of black metal... Though I haven't seen much of it, except for local bands here in the UK.

I dont really like the "true" Black Metal, like Gorgoroth, Mayhem etc. But bands like Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon are cool enough. Would definately see Dimmu if they were to come.

Funny fact: The vocalist in Gorgoroth, Gaahl, lives about 5 minutes away from me, in a really rural part of Norway :p Hasnt got a very good reputation though :p a pretty sick man

Well I actually don't think you can find any other black metal band that is more true than Satyricon (or at least was through the 90's and the beginnings of the 00's). Mother North is THE main anthem of black metal!! Truly epic seeing them playing that song last year.

And yes Gaahl is just a sick fuck. I really got nothing left for Gorgoroth!

Yeah Satyricon has some classic black metal songs. But i feel that they have become quite commercial lately. and sort of more mainstream

Gorgoroths latest album (with Pest on song) was really great! "REBIRTH OF GORGOROOOOTH!" (goosbumps!!)
Dark Funerals new album murder people... shit, the best since 96' "Secrets of the..."!
Both Marduk, 1349 andreally great scandinavian BM-acts this year...

BUT burzum can fuck off with his nazi-bullshit... altough his early works was really good...

Varg Vikernes (from Burzum) is not the only nazi black-metalist.. Gaahl from Gorgoroth has stated that he agrees with Hitler, and says that coloured people in general are "subhuman"... Thats not the kind of people who fit in at Roskilde IMO

I actually AGREE. Burzum was just my sick irony. Read the line "yeah you know this guy don't you? Just out of prison(...)". He's a bit to crazy and nationalistic to me. Gorgoroth are even worse.

I can confess that I like Burzums music though, but I don't support his ideal or buy the records. He's a sick fuck, whicch is too bad, since he makes good music.

Check out Keep Of Kalessin.
One of the tightest and most technical Black Metal/Extreme Metal bands out there.
They will allso win this years Eurovision Song Contest (don`t judge, they will NOT be the new Lordi), so they`ll probably get some hype :p

Been trying to find it.. It was a long time ago, you see.. But what I recall, it was propably 40 insults in about 5 sentences, mainly about how much he hates me and my music icon_smile.gif..

Deleted user More black metal for Roskilde? Sure, why the hell not, I really enjoyed Wolves in the Throne Room.

I'd love to experience Gorgoroth live, I missed them when they played The Rock a few years back. If they happen to attend Roskilde '10, I hope they bring the naked people on crosses and the heads of dead animals! icon_rolleyes.gif

One black metal act I'd absolutely kill to see live is Diabolical Masquerade, but I've got no idea if he's ever performed live + he hasn't been active under this moniker since the beginning of the 2000, so...

If you're on Eurovision, you simply don't play Black Metal anymore... icon_razz.gif

Hahaha, I allmost agree, but maybe that`s exactly what makes it even more Black Metal?:p
Anyhow, let`s just call it Extreme Metal. Check it out, if you like Black Metal/Metal, I think you`ll like it.
