Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

David Byrne would be an excellent finisher for the old folks. BB King is out of the question, but Byrne would be a close second choice.

What the hell are you talking about? icon_eek.gif The old folks? David Byrne and talking heads are so cool - I don't think he is one who could draw 'the old' crowd on sunday! It would be awesome if he came, I would be right up front!

i turned 27 last week and i hope that doesn't put me in the 'old folks' section!!!

i could easily look you in the eye without a hint of sarcasm and say 'talking heads are the greatest band ever'. so ridiculously inventive and cool, so far ahead of their time. and FYI they hit their peak two years before i was born...

i really envy anyone who isn't into this band. because if you have even a passing interest in music, you WILL get into them, and you will have so much fucking fun with the first four albums. so much fun.

Cool bands are not mutually exclusive from bands for the 'old folks', as I so elegantly put it. Suppose Byrne gets booked - would you reckon the sunday slot for the classic oldie got filled by someone else? I don't think so. Band members get a year older with every Roskilde Festival, so we can't expect to see a Brian Wilson or Roger Waters every year without moving ahead in time. I reckon Byrne sure makes for a better candidate in this respect than Pet Shop Boys.

That's what I'm talking about.

Well I think that Byrne would be a great line up (saw him in Copenhagen this spring). But I would like more to see Ray Davies (The Kinks) at Roskilde because he's a legend and hero from a era of rock'n roll which is not represented at the program this year yet. The Byrne'era are repesented by Madness (which I think will close orange stage sunday) and Grace Jones
The reviews of Davies shows tells that he is in exellent shape and he has in many ways inspired the half of the line up at Roskilde through the years. Davies plays in UK 27-28'th June and 4 july i Norway

Davies would rock. Burne would rock. When Burne played RF in 97 he held a rain-party I will never forget. One more please!
