Wasn't it about time bands like Pig Destroyer, TRIAC, General Surgery, Regurgitate, Mumakil, Trap Them, Phobia, Extreme Noise Terror or even Napalm Death played Roskilde?

I saw Napalm Death back in 1995 at Roskilde, but grind is usually overlooked by the bookers... I don't expect them to add any to this years line-up.

There are some chances we might get Isis, Napalm Death and Neurosis.
They all have dates in Europe. Neurosis has dates in Finland 26th June!

Well we had Rotten Sound last year, so I definitely think attention is paid to extreme metal - but we already have A LOT of metal..
However, Pig Destroyer would be my wet dream.

I would prefer stuff like Psyopus, The Locust or Cephalic Carnage but I don't think they'd ever book any of thoe bands.

Or what about The Red Chord? Ah, so many good bands out there that will never show up at Roskilde, since their music is frowned upon by the high and mighty music yuppies of this world.

Actually Lord, it's not just the music yuppies of the world, it is the majority of the world. Extreme metal and especially grindcore like Cephalic Carnage have a very narrow audience. Even at big american festivals like Coachella or Bonnaroo I don't think The Locust would ever get a chance to play...

Well, Dillinger Escape Plan, Rotten Sound and A Kid Hereafter in the Grinding Light all played last year.
That's three pretty extreme metal/hardcore bands right there, the last two being all grind.
How many bands of this kind do u actually think Roskilde will book, when, as you say yourselves, that it's a very small audience they attract??
So can't really see that being ignored by the bookers at all!
Maybe you guys should check the facts before posting.....

Actually Malmöfestivalen 2007 (the free annual festival in the city of Malmö/Sweden) booked Mayhem, The Locust, The Dwarves, Nifelheim and Sonic Syndicate.. they all played the same day within the timespan of 7 hours. If they can so can Roskilde.
Also Napalm Death was once booked by my neighbour town Hässleholm in one of the smallest clubs I know about.
Everything is possible!

Or maybe you should. Last year, as I've mentioned in a previous post, was outstanding for grindcore and the likes. The years before that, it's been castly overlooked, and I'm sure they'll overlook it this year as well... only time will tell on this one.

I was there! Good stuff. And for free even.
